Sh*t People Say to Oaklanders. As a resident of the great city of Oakland for 2.5 years (you guys, it IS a city!) I’d just like to say that Oakland is and always will be my favorite place in the Bay Area.

I am encouraged to note that this past week’s Eat Real Festival in Oakland outdrew Glenn Beck’s absurd “Restoring Honor” fest (restoring what honor? To whom?) on the Mall in D.C. by nearly 20, 000 people, according to crowd estimates.
It’s nice to know that food wins over fascism occasionally.
